How much do you like Loki in Loki Season 2?

 No, the show has been clearly hinting that the Time Keepers are the real bad guys this time around.

How do I know this? Well, let’s analyse all the facts shall we:

First off: During the first episode, Loki watches the footage revealing not only his role in the sacred timeline, but how his story ends. When he watches the death of both his parents on the 1st seat, it saddens him deeply after learning he indirectly caused both deaths;

When he sees himself fight side by side with Thor, as equals, he smiles for a brief moment;

When he reads a whole file involving the cataclysmic event known as Ragnarok, he sheds a tear after learning the heavy number of asgardian casualties.

Loki is a very flawed and complex character: He presents himself to be a complete scumbag as the God of Mischief should be, but he clearly demonstrates that he cares deeply about his people.

Which brings me to my second point: Lady Loki.

The show is not even trying to hide her motivations to kill TVA agents.

She is the female personification of Loki. She has the same personality, the same powers and the same family as her male counterpart (maybe they’re all gender swapped as well, I’m not quite sure). She probably loves her family and the asgardian people very much. Well… she used to love, because they are all DEAD. Erased from existence. Why? Because a trio of lizards said so.

They didn’t allow the population of the multiverse to exercise their free will. Instead, they get to decide who lives or not, which roles they must play in order to mantain the order they established regardless of who gets hurt in the process. Protectors of time MY ASS. Where I come from these are called Dictators.

Thanos was a dick for sure, but at least he just cut the universe in half. They killed way more people than thanos ever could.

This answer was written and published on Monday, June 21st 2021. Two days before the arrival of Loki episode 3. I’ll make sure to update my answer after the episode launches. If the shows proves me wrong, I’ll write a retraction to my statement, but in the meantime let’s just enjoy life.

[UPDATE]: Apparently the TVA is composed by variants, which means they were all removed by force from their respective timelines, had their memories completely erased and were forced into labor without their knowledge. In certain way this proves my point that the Time Keepers are bad guys.

[UPDATE 2]: OH MY GOD. Okay, so the 4rth episode of the series reveals that The Time Keepers are robots. Someone has been controlling them.

[UPDATE 3] Kang “He who remains” was using the time keepers as decoys while tooling away with time on his secret headquarters at the end of time. He created the sacret timeline in order to prevent the existence of world conquering variant versions of himself.

I guess I was wrong afterall…
